On-Mountain Group Activities

Vail Snowsports School
A group lesson can help you gain confidence and build on your skills all while having the time of your life with your friends, family or co-workers. Lessons available for any level from beginner to expert.
Don’t forget: your group lift ticket gets you 10% off select class lesson products at any of our Ski & Snowboard School locations.

Adventure Ridge
High atop the mountain lives a hub of activity. There’s tubing, snowmobiling for kids, ski biking, snowshoe tours and much more. Adventure Ridge hosts an amazing assortment of ways to get your group up here and out there.

Nastar Racing
Our dual NASTAR course is on a gently rolling blue run adjacent to the Avanti Express Lift (Chair #2). The Black Forest Race Arena has its own poma lift to ensure quick access to racing at its best. Rent your own private race course. Group size ranges from 20 to 300  people and race start times are available at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.  Price includes organized results, bibs and medals.

NASTAR Race Clinics
For those racers that would like to gain the competitive edge, sign up for a  NASTAR race clinic. Our professional coaching staff includes USSCA  certified coaches and former collegiate racers, all there to help you  optimize your speed. Topics include: Fundamentals of Skiing with  Balance, Body Position and Carving or Fundamentals of Racing with Race  Line and Race Strategy. Choose from two-hour or four-hour public clinics  or half- and full-day private clinics (up to three racers).

Nordic Programs
If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Vail's Nordic Sports Center is a one-stop-shop for a fun and exciting Nordic experience. Cross-country skiing lessons, rentals and backcountry tours on our beautiful Nordic trails are available daily. For a change of pace, snowshoe through the serene backcountry. Gourmet guided tours available.

Mountain Tours
Complimentary mountain tours let your group join a knowledgeable guide for an orientation tour designed to introduce the vast terrain and amenities of Vail mountain. The 2–2 1/2 hour tour departs daily at 9:15 a.m. from LionsHead, Vail Village and Golden Peak. You must be an intermediate level to join the group. 

First Tracks
Untouched powder awaits. Give your group first tracks on our Front Side via three chairlifts plus an on-mountain breakfast at Two Elk or Wildwood.™ Feel like splurging? Sign up for our deluxe package that provides three chairlifts to explore terrain, with an on-mountain breakfast at Two Elk Lodge.™

Ski with Olympian
If you’ve ever wanted to be an Olympian, Vail’s a good place to practice. If you’ve ever wanted to train with one, it’s even better. Join Olympian Cindy Nelson as she leads your group through some one-on-one instruction. The session includes video analysis, a gourmet lunch and souvenir. Motivational speaking, ski demos and a race clinic also available.

Adventure Camp
A three-day outing on both Vail and Beaver Creek mountains. You’ll ski with the same instructor to help sharpen your technique. The comprehensive camp includes a race clinic, transportation, demo skis and a daily lunch voucher. Sorry, no s’mores..

Ski with Legends
As a nine-time Extreme Skiing World Championships competitor and 15-years experience with Warren Miller films, Chris Anthony makes it an unforgettable day on the slopes plus a lunch to relive the whole thing. Optional race clinic, motivational speaking and ski demos available.

The Works
This deluxe ski school offering leaves nothing out. Enjoy a full day of private instruction, breakfast, lunch, demo skis—even an après-ski party at Vintner’s.

Her Turn Clinics
Women will enjoy skiing with top female instructors in a confidence-building environment. Includes video analysis, demo skis, an on-mountain lunch, après-ski party and souvenir.

Wine Tasting Party with Dinner
Step off the gondola to an elegant evening of wine tasting high atop Vail Mountain. The chefs at Game Creek Bistro, Marketplace or Vintner’s will help you select wines and create a dinner menu to your delight.

Off-Mountain Group Activities

Hospitality Staffing
Available for activity or registration desks that are available upon check-in or throughout your group's stay. This pre-arranged service provides experienced Vail staff members to assist guests with everything from information on the area, to providing maps, brochures, tour sign-ups and assistance with group registration. This program can also be extended to temporary office assistance and special events staffing. Cost is $40/hour per staff member with a two-hour minimum.

Focus On Vail
Created as a way to familiarize both new and repeat visitors to Vail with all of the resort products and services, as well as with a brief overview of the resort and community. This informal presentation is given by a long-time local Vail representative to welcome groups and enhance their stay. Contact Group Sales at 866-231-VAIL or vailgroups@vailresorts.com to arrange for a Focus staff member to attend your group welcome session.

Fireworks Display
Host your own Fourth of July—any day you like. For an unforgettable evening, light up the slopes of Vail Mountain with your own fireworks display. Choose from three time durations at Golden Peak, LionsHead Village or Vail Village.

Gift Items
Make your outing even more memorable with customized Vail souvenirs for your group. Order merchandise for your group with the Vail logo.

Ski Museum Party
Marvel at an era of solid-wood skis and leather bindings. Explore the history of skiing at Vail’s Ski Museum over cocktails and catered appetizers from Larkspur.

Group Rentals
Discounted group rentals are available through Vail Sports, located in Vail Village, Golden Peak and LionsHead base areas. Ski and snowboard rentals for both children and adults are available. 

Ski storage and lockers are available at the six rental shop locations. Groups of 15 or more may receive up to a 20% discount.

The following packages are currently available:
Sport Package - A step-up beginner package that includes beginner skis,  with a little more power, boots with more adjustments and poles.

Performance Package - A terrific intermediate soft slalom ski designed for  the intermediate that is venturing onto or very comfortable with  intermediate runs. Includes skis, boots, poles.

Demo Package – Perfect for those looking to ski top-of-the-line demo skis.  Includes shaped skis, performance boots and poles.

Snowboard Package - Features the latest in boots, boards and bindings.  Includes board and boots.

Demo to Buy Program
